Hello! My name is Josh Winn, and I am the youth pastor at First Baptist Church Maypearl. I am so excited that your teen is considering joining us at Summer Camp this year! There is a lot of prayer and preparation that goes into planning camp, and we are expecting God to do great things in the lives of our students! Our theme is Faith IRL (In Real Life) based on James 2:26. Our hope is to give students the knowledge and tools to practically live out their faith on a day-to-day basis. Here are some details about camp:
When: June 28-July 2 (Leave after church Sunday, June 28; back around 4pm on Thursday, July 2)
Where: Scottsville Camp & Conference Center in Marshall, TX
Cost: $300 ($225 for first-time campers) plus money for 1 meal on the road both Sun & Thurs (*more details at the bottom of the page)
General Camp Expectations: All campers will stay in cabin-styled rooms with bunk beds. Each day will be filled with worship sessions, small group time, team challenges, and fun activities. All campers will be a part of two different groups: One group will be their team in which they will compete in challenges throughout the week. The other group will be their small group in which they will have Bible study with other students their age.

*Let us know if your student wants to volunteer at the 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament Fundraiser on June 6 - this will help your student receive a discount on their camp fees. We are also offering a substantial discount for students that don't normally attend FBC Maypearl. We can also offer financial assistance to students that do normally attend FBC.
